We have been fighting some crazy weather the past week. Cold, Rain and 25 to even 50 mph winds. We have managed to catch some nice fish but it’s been a big disappointment not being able to fish some of the better areas because of the high winds. Glad to see the weather forecast improving over the next week or so.

Starting 2019 off right with our first 10 plus pounder of the year. The big fish are up shallow and and biting. It’s a great time to catch that Trophy Bass of a lifetime here in Florida.

Been dealing with some crazy weather the past couple weeks but we’re managing to stay on some decent fish. We still have some gift certificates available for that special Christmas gift.
Oct. 7, 2018
The fall shad run has started and the fish are starting to gang up on main river shell beds. As we move forward into fall and our water temps start dropping expect some of the best fishing of the year. The topwater bite is getting better everyday.

Had a great trip this morning with Mark Blakefield. We boated 75 fish in a little over four hours on artificials.

Sorry about the lack of freshwater reports. I’ve been on vacation filling our freezer with the tasty offshore species. Back to Bass Fishing next week vacation is over.
June 2, 2018

With the recent rains we are seeing higher water levels and more current which equals great summertime Bass fishing. Water temps are hot and the fish are feeding great during the early morning.

One of my regular clients Bill S was here for a five day trip this week and as you can see the fishing was unbelievable each day. I have some days in late May and June open.

The shad spawn has started and the big fish are taking full advantage of it around daylight. Artificial Bite is picking up and great things are getting ready to happen here on the St Johns River. Still have a couple days in April open and a few days in May. With the shad spawn starting late this year I’m expecting a great June and July for Trophy Bass Fishing.

It’s been a crazy week of weather here in Central Florida. Mother Nature have thrown us cold fronts, 25 MPH wind some rain and a little sunshine. We’ve made the best of it and caught some very nice fish each day. I have a few days still open in April and May.

My clients have had a blast the past few days catching some great Trophy Bass between 8 and 11 1/4 lbs. Clients Tommy and Bill chose to fish artificial baits an had a 5 fish limit that weighed 37 pounds topped off with a 9 3/4 and 8 1/2 pounder. My good client Kirk came close to his personal best of 12 lbs with a beautiful 11 1/4 pounder caught on a Big Wild Shiner.

Been another great week and also a special week of Trophy Bass Fishing here on the St Johns River. I actually got to spend today Friday 2/16/2018 with one of my favorite teachers from Lakeview Middle School in the early 70’s some 45 years ago Coach Steele. The warm weather seems to have the fish wanting to bite early so get out there and get em before that sun gets up.
Febuary 09, 2018

Waters heating up with all this warm crazy Feb weather, but if you get out there before the sun gets up great things can happen on your trip. Another week of big fish and happy clients.

Another great week of Trophy Bass Fishing. After coming off one of the best fishing yet coldest January’s I can remember in my 37 years guiding here in Central Florida February has started off unbelievably well also here on the St Johns River. I really don’t know if the fishing can get any better then it’s been the past month but what I can tell you is, we’re fixing to find out. I have a couple days in Feb open and a few days in March. April and May are booking up fast also. Water temps have been cold and we have been using Large Wild Shiners to catch these St Johns River Bass Trophy Bass. Remember we are only minutes away from Orlando, Disney World, Daytona Beach, New Smyrna Beach and Cocoa Beach Florida.
