The fall shad run has started and the fish are starting to gang up on main river shell beds.
As we move forward into fall and our water temps start dropping expect some of the best fishing of the year.
The topwater bite is getting better everyday.
Aug. 22, 2018
Had a great trip this morning with Mark Blakefield.
We boated 75 fish in a little over 4 hrs on artificial’s.
June 30, 2018
Sorry about the lack of freshwater reports. I’ve been on vacation filling our freezer
with the tasty fishing offshore. Back to Bass Fishing next week vacation is over.
June 2, 2018
With the resent rains we are seeing higher water levels and more current which equals great summertime Bass fishing.
Water temps are hot and the fish are feeding great during the early morning.
May 18, 2018
One of my regular clients Bill S was here for a five day trip this
week and as you can see the fishing was unbelievable each day.
I have some days in late May and June open.
May 11, 2018
Another Amazing Week Of Bass Fishing. My clients this week have all had trips
of a lifetime and as Bass Challengers motto has been for decades. Making Memories that last a Lifetime.
It’s that shad spawn time of year. Get out on the water early and reap the benefits. It can be crazy that first hour of the morning.
I’m booked through the 21st of May but I do have some days open the end of May and some days open in June.
April 6, 2018
It’s been another unbelievable week of Trophy Bass Fishing for my clients.

to Trophy Bass in Central Florida please give me a call.
Last year we had two of our biggest bass of the year caught in the month of May weighing
11.8 and 12.0 pounds and June was very good also !!!
March 31, 2018
The shad spawn has started and the big fish are taking full advantage of it around daylight. Artificial Bite is picking up
and great things are getting ready to happen here on the St Johns River.
Still have a couple days in April open and a few days in May.
With the shad spawn starting late this year I’m expecting a great June and July for Trophy Bass Fishing.
March 26, 2018
It’s been a crazy week of weather here in Central Florida. Mother Nature have thrown us Cold Fronts,
25 MPH wind some rain and a little sunshine. We’ve made the best of it and caught some very nice
fish each day. I have a few days still open in April and May.
March 20, 2018
After a 4 day vacation to S.C. to attend the BassMaster Classic we are back on the water catching some nice fish once again.
I have some days in April and May open so if your looking for that Trophy Bass of a lifetime give me a call.
March 9, 2018
Well it’s been one crazy week. We’ve had to deal with 30 mph winds and Major Cold Fronts changing water temps from the high 70’s to
mid 50’s in a matter of a few days. My clients have done well on big fish but the numbers of fish did drop off a bit this week. We were met this morning Friday March 9th 2018
with 37 degrees temps and a good breeze from the west. My Client Nick and I made a run up the St Johns River and found the honey hole.
Before 9 am Nick had 5 fish in the boat weighing 45.8 pounds and topped off with a Beautiful and Healthy 13.2 pounder
measuring 30 1/2 inches in length and 21 1/2 inches in girth. She was released and is ready to do battle again.
We will have some single pictures of Nicks fish posted on the front page of the website soon.
This picture doesn’t do the 13.2 pound fish justice but it does makes the 9 pounder on the left look little.
I have days open in April and May so if your looking for some great Trophy Bass Fishing Please Give Me A Call.
March 2, 2018
My clients have had a blast the past few days catching some great Trophy Bass between 8 and 11 1/4 lbs.
Clients Tommy and Bill chose to fish artificial baits an had a 5 fish limit that weighed 37 pounds topped
off with a 9 3/4 and 8 1/2 pounder. My good client Kirk came close to his personal best of 12 lbs with a
beautiful 11 1/4 pounder caught on a Big Wild Shiner.
Febuary 26, 2018
It’s been another good week of Bass Fishing here on the St Johns River.
I have March 6th 19th and 21st open and a few days in April and May still open.
As you can see the Big Bass are biting even though our weather is very hot for this time of year.
Febuary 16, 2018
Been another great week and also a special week of Trophy Bass Fishing here on the St Johns River.
I actually got to spend today Friday 2/16/2018 with one of my favorite teachers from
Lakeview Middle School in the early 70’s some 45 years ago Coach Steele.
The warm weather seems to have the fish wanting to bite early so get out there and get em before that sun gets up.
Febuary 09, 2018
Waters heating up with all this warm crazy Feb weather,
but if you get out there before the sun gets up great things
can happen on your trip.
Another week of big fish and happy clients.
Febuary 2, 2018

January 19, 2018
It’s been a very cold but also very productive week of Trophy Bass Fishing here in Central Florida. We had temperatures dip into the mid 20’s (yesterday)
Thursday and low 30’s this morning but we were still able to put some great fish between 6 and 9.2 pounds in the boat each day.
My good client Bill S is here for 5 days of Trophy Bass Fishing and these photos are from the first two days of his trip yesterday and today. Jan 18th and 19th.

Been a while sense I’ve added a report do to the St Johns River in my area being closed for 3.5 months because of Hurricane Irma.

Sept. 05, 2017
Been a great 5 day guide trip for my client Bill S. We spent 4 days fishing freshwater and 1 day off the beach chunking live mullet at Tarpon.
The water is at a great level right now for unreal bass fishing on the St Johns River. The past four days fishing 6 hr trips we have averaged over twenty Bass to 7 lbs each day. Book a combo trip and spend a day bass fishing and a day Tarpon fishing.
The fall Mullet run has started on the east coast of FL and the Big Tarpon have been thick the past week. We seen over 50 Tarpon on the beach Monday. The fall mullet run will continue through Oct.

As I reported in my last report on Aug 1. The water is up here on the St Johns River and these big Trophy Bass are liking it. The artificial bite has been very good the past couple weeks. The www.coxjuice.com CoxJuice Pro Bass Attractant just keeps proving how good it works over and over.
The fish in this post were caught on a Bitter Bait and Tackle 7.5 June Bug Blue Tail worm after a 3 day soak in the CoxJuice.
September is booking up fast so don't wait till the last minute to book your trip.

All the rain we've had the past few weeks has the water cooled off a little and the current flowing well here on the St Johns River. Things are getting ready to get really good with the higher water levels we now have. The artificial bite has been excellent the past week and will only get better as we make our way into fall. If your not using
www.coxjuice.com on your soft plastics your missing out on catching summertime Trophy Bass like these in this report.
July 15, 2017
After a couple long days at ICAST 2017 it was time for some fishing. Spent one morning with Chris and Seth from Crestliner Boats and had a good morning. Caught a couple on the trap early but Seth put the hammer down the last hour and caught a five fish 20 lb limit on the Bitters 7.5 June Bug Blue Tail Worm that's been soaking in www.coxjuice.com for a couple days.
Next up John Cox and I took my longtime friend Hideki Maeda in town from Japan for ICAST on a morning fishing trip to try out the new Teckel Frog. As you can see from the picture this frog is amazing and we had a great morning testing it out on these Florida Bass and catching plenty of them.
I seen a lot of new products at ICAST that will be hitting the market very soon and can't wait to give them a try.
June 27, 2017
Been a couple unreal days of Bass fishing here on the St Johns River and it's always great to spend some time on the water with my boy John Cox.
We beat on them pretty hard yesterday and today catching fish up to 8 lbs. The Artificial bite is great during the morning hours.
We now have our product CoxJuice Pro Bass Attractant available at www.coxjuice.com.
May 23, 2017
The young men have been catching some monsters the past week on both artificial baits and live bait. Nothing better then getting these kids on the water and seeing them succeed at the sport of Bass fishing.
May 15, 2017
Had today off and thought I would go take a look around for up coming trips and also to test the new MHX CCB865 rattle trap rod I just had built by Kyle Klug at Mud Hole Custom Tackle. Little did I know I would break my personal best 5 fish stringer of 32.84 lbs with a 5 fish 35.8 pound stringer topped off with one that weighed 11.4 lbs. I've said it for years and will keep saying it. You do not have to come to Florida during the spawn to catch Trophy Bass. It can happens year round and once again here is the proof.
May 13, 2017
Waters low but we're still having some great days here on the St Johns River. Artificial and live bait are both working well.
May 2, 2015
Been dealing with some big winds the past week but we're making the best of it and still catching some great fish on both shiners and artificial baits. Ashley R landed the largest Bass of the year today weight 12 pounds. Beautiful Fish released to fight another day. I need to thank all my sponsors for making this business so successful! MHX RODS, MUD HOLE CUSTOM TACKLE, CRESTLINER BOATS, MERCURY MARINE, WHITES MARINE CENTER (MISSOURI), LEWS REELS, ENGLE COOLERS, and BITTERS BAIT and TACKLE
April 21, 2017
Another unbelievable week of Trophy Bass Fishing here on the St Johns River!! Even got to sneak out and catch a few big ones myself on artificial baits off main river ledges.
April 13, 2017
The cold weather we had last week knocked these Florida Bass in the head pretty hard. Had a tough couple days on the water with the big temperature change but were back to catching the big fish once again. Have a couple days in April Open and May is booking up fast so if you are looking for a Trophy Bass Trip with a guide that has 36 years of experience he in Central Florida give us a call.
